Hundreds of hot spots emerges in Sumatra island, Riau contributed the most

BMKG recorded 159 hotspots in Sumatra, 80 of which are in Riau Province. "Hotspot Sumatra with a confidence level above 50 percent are 159 points, most of which are in Riau with 80 points, North Sumatra 21 points, West Sumatera 18 points, Jambi 10 points, South Sumatra 10 points, Bengkulu 8 points, and Babel 12 points" said Section Head (Kasi) Information BMKG Pekanbaru Station, Marzuki.

80 hotspots in Riau most are in Rokan Hilir regency with 42 points. Then Dumai 16 points, Bengkalis 10 points, Meranti Islands 1 point, Rohul 2 points, Pelalawan 5 points, and Siak 4 points" he said.

Even so hotspot opportunities in Riau is still exist. "During the day the potential of light rain that is local in part Kampar, Pekanbaru, Kuansing, Inhil, Pelalawan, Siak, and Inhu" he explained.

Maximum air temperature during the day can reach 34 degrees Celsius. While at night there is also the potential of mild to moderate rain. Can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in most of Riau.
