News24xx.com - All of the dangerous things that can be life threatening, reading a book may never or rarely be taken into account. But if you read any of these three ancient books found in the University of Southern Danish library, there is a chance that you may be dying.

The reason is because these three books are coated with arsenic chemical compounds. According to library officer Jakob Povl Holck initially they are trying to find hidden information by using x-ray.

"We brought three books to an X-ray lab because the library had previously found fragments of medieval manuscripts such as Roman law and canonical law used as a cover" Jakob said as quoted by Live Science on Sunday, July 15th 2018.

Although dangerous in the 19th century there was a time when arsenic was popular used as a dye for walls, stamps, clothes, and paper ink. A person may experience arsenic poisoning when exposed directly into the mouth for example when licking a finger that touches the contaminated surface of the book.

Symptoms of acute arsenic poisoning can occur in two forms. The first resulted in severe paralysis that can occur within 1-2 hours and usually with signs of delirious or insanity. While the second in indigestion such as nausea, headache, severe pain, vomiting and diarrhea.

Arsenic can be deadly by damaging the person's digestive system causing death from shock. Some of the figures who had ever had arsenic poisoning were Napoleon Bonaparte and Munir.

Researchers have reportedly isolated the three books in a special room. The plan the library will create a digital version so that people can enjoy the contents of the book without risk of poisoning.
