A five month-old boy is fighting for his life, after his father stuffed wipes down his throat

News24xx.com -  As a parent, we have a task to protect our children from danger. But, a father from the Tarpon Springs, Florida allegedly stuffed wipes down his baby's throat on July 10 2018.

The cruel man named Michael Hurley, 32 years old has been charged with attempted murder over the alleged attack, which has left the youngster in a critical condition. Now, the five month-old boy is fighting for his life on a ventilator. 

As quoted from Fox 13 on July 21 2018, the boy, who suffered developmental and motor skill delays due to complicatons during birth, is unable to breathe on his own.

Hurley have carried out the assault while at home alone with the infant.

Then, the boy’s mother arrived home to find Hurley holding the baby, with his fingers down the choking youngsters throat. 

He is said to have told her that he was trying to retrieve something, but his fingers were too big to take it.

The woman ran outside screaming for neighbors to help her. One neighbors came to her aid, while she pulled the blood-soaked wipe from the infants throat. 

Investigators said the inside of the wipe did not contain any blood, meaning that it had been balled up before being put in the baby’s throat.

After he was arrested, Hurley is being held in jail on $500,000 bond.
