Indonesia usages of AI technology is the biggest in the Southeast countries

News24xx.com - Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly loved by companies in Indonesia. Based on a survey by analytical firm SAS and International Data Corporation (IDC), Indonesia leads the adoption of industrial artificial intelligence in Southeast Asia.

As many as 24.6 percent of companies in Indonesia adopt AI, followed by Thailand (17.1 percent), Singapore (9.9 percent) and Malaysia (8.1 percent).Overall and the AI ??adoption rate in Southeast Asia has reached 14 percent. This number is increasing compared to last year with only eight percent adoption rate.

IDC's Big Data Global Research Director ChweeKan Chua said the high adoption in Indonesia is due to the company's maturity to use AI as a way to boost business productivity and efficiency.

The survey results also show that more than half of respondents or about 51 percent consider the main reason for adopting AI is to get better business insight.

Other reasons are for automation in industrial processes (51 percent) and increased productivity (42 percent). Chwee said companies that do not implement AI in business operations will certainly lose out to companies that implement AI.

"With the positive impact that has been seen in the banking, manufacturing, health and government industries, there is a big chance that more companies in Southeast Asia will take advantage of AI.Application of AI will benefit from greater accuracy, efficiency and agility of innovation, as a result of advanced analytics" Chwee said.
