Luca Marini does not feel burdened because being the brother of Valentino Rossi

News24xx.com - Sky VR46 rider in Moto2 2018, Luca Marini, claimed not feel burdened to be the brother of veteran racer MotoGP Valentino Rossi.

Marini is Rossi's half brother from the mother, Stefania Palma. In an interview with the US, 20-year-old rider claimed never felt burdened to be Rossi's brother even though had been under the shadow of The Doctor."People used to call me Rossi's brother, not Luca Marini, but that does not make me burdened, I feel the luckiest rider in the world" said Marini.

"Now that the conditions are starting to change, since the start of the season on the paddock a lot of fans call me Luca Marini or number 10, it's important, but I love being the greatest rider in history, that's amazing and does not make me burdened"

Marini has appeared in the Moto2 class since 2015. This season, the Urbino-born rider was recruited Sky VR46 which is Rossi's Moto2 racing team. Marini says Rossi did not give him a special treatment. Rossi is still considered Marini as his boss in the team.

"Rossi is a teacher and a boss, and every Saturday night we talked a lot before the race, and he gave us a lot of feedback, he said I had a good speed and told me everything should be fast" said Marini.

Marini successfully won his first podium in the first Moto2 event as well as his first career in the Grand Prix at the German Grand Prix race on Sunday, July 15th 2018. Rossi said Marini's success on the podium became an inspiration for him to successfully finish second in MotoGP Germany.
