To prevent the bad behavior of tourists, Mallorca enacted new regulations

News24xx.com - If you have the planning to travel to Mallorca, Spain, you should start listening to these new rules of this city for tourists. Because if you break this rule, be prepared to pay a fine enough to make your budget swell.

Mallorca city government declares 'war' against the behavior of tourists who think they exceed the limit. These behaviors include naked in public places, drink alcoholic beverages, free sex, and some anti-social measures.

The regulations will be enacted in the summer of this year and intentionally be made to make tourists more accountable. Anyone who violates the rules will be fined USD 3500 (about IDR 50 million).

"Perhaps the [rules] did not solve all the problems, but at least provide a basis for police to crack down for those who violate" said Angelica Pastor, a member of the Mallorca council, as quoted by CNN, Wednesday, July 18th 2018. "I hope these rules can increase the attractiveness of urban residents, especially in crowded tourist areas."

In the past year, the regulation has been implemented in Magaluf, one of the islands destined for foreign tourists. It is a follow-up of complaints of local residents who feel uncomfortable with the behavior of foreign tourists.

The problem is actually a negative impact of massive tourism, which has long been a debate.

Not only in Mallorca, some places in the world that became the favorite destination of tourists also experienced something similar,from Machu Picchu in Peru, to Venezia in Italy.
