News24xx.com - The game between Sriwijaya and Arema in Gelora Sriwijaya Staidum in Jakabaring, Palembang, was damaged due to a riot caused by supporters.

It was suspected that the main reason of the conflict was Sriwijaya’s loss in its own home from Arema, with the score 0:3. This was the main reason the supporters got angry.

In total, there were 335 single seats in the stadium that were thrown into the field by some irresponsible supporter. Jakabaring Sport City Company (JSC) really felt bad for what happened in the arena because the stadium will be used for the upcoming Asian Games 2018.

The organizers said that they will try to fix the stadium as fast as they can so it can still be used for Asian Games 2018.

“This riot is really damaging and unfortunate,” said JSC Company. “Jakabaring Sport City Company made sure that Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium was sterile for games, including training until Asian Games 2018 is held.”
