Vehicle made by the children of the nation is started to produce in mass

News24xx.com - Two-wheeled vehicles produced by hard work of the youths will begin its mass production in 2018. A number of facilities and infrastructure are prepared by the government of the Republic of Indonesia.

This was stated by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir during his visit to the GESITS assembly plant at PT. Wijaya Karya Industri and Konstruksi Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, Sunday, August 5th 2018.

During the working visit, the Minister of Research and Technology also heard reports on the progress and planning of the assembly process from the GESITS team. Including seeing the testing of technological devices and various components that have been created.

"In this working visit to see firsthand the developments that have been made. I have heard that there are regulations that hinder the GESITS project, it turns out that everything goes according to what we expected" Nasir said.

"Talks with Pertamina as a provider of energy networks will be carried out. This is for ease of use of GESITS in the community" Nasir said.

He also stated that the preparation of regulations that would guarantee the smooth use of electric vehicles in Indonesia. GESITS is an electric motorcycle that relies on lithium batteries.

Other needs prepared for GESITS are in terms of charging batteries and exchanges that will be widely distributed in the community. Battery recharging method can be done by exchanging battery units in Pertamina's gas stations.

"That way, community can exchange batteries as easily as they fill gasoline at gas stations" said Menristekdikti

This concept has nothing to do with the purchase of LPG cylinders that are familiar in the community.

He also said that production would begin this year as the first vehicle made in Indonesia which was successfully produced and marketed.

"This indicates that Indonesia has experienced the first leap in future insightful technology" he said

President Director of PT. WIKA Tumiyana conveyed the readiness of PT. WIKA in this year's GESITS production. He said, in the initial stage the assembly plant would be able to produce 50,000 GESITS units per year. "We will increase this capacity gradually to reach 100,000 units per year" said Tumiyana.
