Warner Bros is seeking female director to direct the movie Supergirl

News24xx.com - A few weeks ago, Marvel was very vocal in finding female directors for films about female superheroes. For example, when they are looking for a director for Black Widow film project. It seems that it inspires Warner Bros to do the same thing for their own project.

As you know, Warner Bros is working with DC Entertainment to make Supergirl film. It is said that they are looking for female director to make this film. For the scriptwriter, Warner Bros and DC have chosen Oren Uziel.

Warner Bros and DC Entertainment consider using female director for Supergirl based on the success of Wonder Woman (2017). Back then, the film about DC female superhero, Wonder Woman, became the top box office and earned great success. The film was directed by Patty Jenkins, who is now working on the sequel.

Other than that, DC had also appointed female director for the project of Suicide Squad’s spin-off, Birds of Prey, Cathy Yan. Hopefully, there will be more and more superhero films that are directed by women so it will inspire other women to be more confident and follow their dream.
