Ahok will transfered to Cipinang prison

News24xx.com - The North Jakarta Prosecutor's Office is expected to transfer former Jakarta governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama aka Ahok from the police’s Mobile Brigade Command detention center (Mako Brimob) in Kelapa Dua, Depok, in West Java, back to the Cipinang detention center in East Jakarta.

The office's spokesman Dicky Octavia stated that Ahok might be relocated to Cipinang this evening with the officials currently taking care of administrative documents.

"Yes, if it is possible, today, June 21 2017 [we will move him]," said Dicky via text message.

The former governor was detained immediately after the North Jakarta District Court declared him guilty of blasphemy on May 9 2017.

After he was detained, more than 1,000 of his supporters flocked to the Cipinang detention center to protest his detention and to demand his release.

The protest, which also hampered people from visiting other detainees, led to Ahok being moved to Mako Brimob
