News24xx.com -  The struggle of Pelalawan Regency Government for Decent Children (KLA), only takes 5 months since it was launched in February 2018, and in July 2018,  Pelalawan Regency has been awarded as a Decent District for Children in the Partama category.

At that time the Deputy Regent of Pelalawan,  Zardewan received the KLA award from the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection,  Yohana Susana Yembise.

Chairperson of the Decent District Child Task Force Team (KLA) of Pelalawan Syahrul Syarif, who is also the Head of the Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Pelalawan Regency, expressed the award achieved as a manifestation of Pelalawan District's success in building a joint commitment, and realizing the intended commitment into action, real protection of children's rights in Pelalawan District.

"The efforts that we have done, still need to be improved and refined in 2019, so we can get the award back in a higher category. I as the Chair of the KLA Pelalawan Task Force Team on behalf of the Pelalawan Regional Government says thanks for all roles, both the regional apparatus, vertical institutions / agencies, the business world, the community and community institutions, press partners and all parties so that we can achieve this award," he said.

He continued, this award is the first step for us to continuously make efforts to protect and fulfill children's rights in Pelalawan District.

The seriousness of the Pelalawan District Government to reach the highest category of KLA was proven by forming a Children's Forum Village or village in the sub-districts in Pelalawan Regency.

Starting with the Pangkalan Kerinci sub-district, located in the hall of the Pangkalan Kerinci District Office on Tuesday, August 7 2018, in the framework of achieving the Right of the Child Convention which was initiated by the United Nations.

Meanwhile, Amelia Diana Putri from Pangkalan Kerinci Subdistrict, Pelalawan District, was elected as Riau Children's Ambassador at the National Children's Forum meeting in Surabaya which took place on 19 to 23 July 2018 and coincided with the commemoration of National Children's Day.

Pelalawan District Government has also taken various steps so that the award as a Decent District for Children in the Primary category is maintained, even it must be improved.

"Our target, for next year will go up to the media category. Therefore we need to cooperate as poorly as stockholders in Pelalawan Regency," said Regent Harris when speaking at the KLA Evaluation in Pelalawan Bappeda Building, two weeks ago.

According to Harris, all parties must make this program as one of its main programs. "For example, activities in OPD, must be related to supporting this KLA program," he said again.

Furthermore, Pelalawan District Government has also confirmed the Children's Forum of the District of Pelalawan Regency, on Sunday, August19 2018, at Lake Kajuik Langgam.

In addition to inaugurating the Children Forum, at that time, the Pelalawan District Head also officially opened the traditional water jamboree in the sub-district Child Forum in Pelalawan District.

Syahrul Syarif as the head of the KLA task force, said that the Child Forum was a very important component in integrating all commitments and policies related to child protection and the fulfillment of children's rights.

The children's forum is a forum for children and child administrators in the area to be able to interact with the local government.

There are two functions of this Children's Forum, said Syahrul. First, as a reporter and as a pioneer. The whistleblower means that the child's interests are voiced by the children's forum, both negative and positive.

"Then as the reporter is all the interests of the child and all the creativity of the child and all the talents and so on must start from this children's container, to how to realize the creativity of the child must be pioneered by a forum for children's forums," said Syahrul Syarif, who is also the head of the Pelalawan District Bappeda.

The head of Pelalawan District, HM. Harris reminded the entire of Pelalawan community, to joint and support the Children's Forum so Pelalawan would become a Decent District for Children.

"Insya Allah, all our goalsr will be achieved," he said.

Harris also reminded to continue and maintain communication between fellow stockholders.

"Likewise to the community, we must convey it, we must socialize it, so that people understand and support our programs," said Pelalawan Regent, HM. Harris.
