News24xx.com - In South Korea, a 71-year-old man received severe poisoning after a visit to sushi restaurant, because of which the doctors amputated his arm to the elbow.

According to the "New England Journal of Medicine", half a day after the pensioner ate sushi, his palm swelled. The man didn’t seek immediately help from doctors. He hoped that it would pass "itself". After suffering two days, he became worse and he went to the hospital. Doctors have found out that the tumor is associated with infection with the bacteria Vibrio Vulnificus, which are contained in raw fish.

As a result, the hospital retired the infected places and discharged antibiotics, but after 25 days the patient's condition only worsened. Because of the necrosis of palm, physicians amputated the man's palm and forearm.
