Nike finally speaks up about the word Allah on the sole of its product

News24xx.com - Some time ago, social media was shocked by the Nike Air Max 270 product which allegedly has Allah's word in the soles of shoes. The word of Allah at the bottom of the shoe was considered to have insulted God of the Islamic religion.

The writing in question is actually said Air Max, with a cursive style. If reversed, the writing is according to netizens looked like word of Allah in Arabic. Many netizens are furious due to this. According to them, this is contrary to the rules of Islam which should glorify the name of Allah.

Nike Air Max 270 product itself was went viral on social media. In fact, a Muslim named Saiqa Nooren made a petition for Nike to withdraw Nike Air Max 270 from the market.

Until now, the petition has been signed by 35 thousand people. This petition has also spread in various media in various countries. Responding to that, Nike opened its voice through the news website from the United States, Today.

"Nike respects all religions, and we are very serious about this. The Air Max logo is designed to be a representation of the Nike Air Max brand. The aim is only to present the Air Max brand. The other meaning or representation is just accidental" said Nike representative quoted from Today Style.

After apologizing and rectifying the misunderstandings netizens also who hoped Nike will withdraw Nike Air Max 270 from the market.
