News24xx.com - As reported by Reuters, the Mexican government will auction Lamborghini, houses and other assets seized from gangsters and at least one former politician. This is part of the "Robin Hood" program which diverts millions of dollars in profits obtained in improper ways to help the poor.

Lopez Obrador promises a more meticulous government than his predecessor Enrique Pena Nieto. One form is to create the government agency that auctioned off items confiscated as Institutions to Return Stolen Goods to the People.

The agency is headed by Ricardo Rodriguez, the proceeds of the sale will be channeled to two cities in the state of South Oaxaca, which according to President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is among the poorest in the country.

"Everything that is confiscated will be given to the community back, expecially to all poor communities in this country" the president said at a press conference on Tuesday morning as quoted by Bloomberg. The vehicles to be auctioned include Porsche, Corvette, Mercedes-Benz, Mustang convertible, and Lamborghini Murcielago 2007.
