News24xx.com - You need to be careful because office’s WiFi is also vulnerable to hackers. The results of research conducted by Kaspersky Lab found that not all companies use complex and unique passwords for their wireless networks. A simple password only takes a few seconds to break. Different story, if the password is complicated, to hack it needs more time.

Kaspersky researchers also found that many companies do not install patches at the right time, especially if it involves reflashing firmware. This condition makes the attacker easy to enter the company network. Many companies use different WiFi networks for employees and guests. According to Kaspersky researchers, this is reasonable prevention.

The visitors can connect to the office internet, so they cannot access company networks and internal resources. However, this guest WiFi network still has the potential to harm office occupants. Creating a password for a guest network is easy. But in some cases, if the network is not properly configured, this can lead guests to some elements of the company's infrastructure.

Kaspersky exemplifies if employees want to access network resources that are blocked by company policies, employees keep connecting their laptops with confidential data to guest-only WiFi networks. That makes cyber criminals able to carry out man-in-the-middle attacks and infect employees' laptops with malware.
