News24xx.com - The season of durian fruit starts in the middle of July 2019 in Siak. This becomes a bonus for the tourists that come to Siak this month. Not only they can visit many interesting places, they can also enjoy the taste of durian fruit in abundance.

“During this durian season, after visiting Siak Palace, it’s not right to go home without buying durian here,” said Dina, one of the tourists from Pekanbaru.

The type of durian sold in Siak is called “Durian Tembaga”, which if translated means “bronze durian”. The name comes from the fact that the fruit inside it has the brownish yellow color like bronze. It is very popular for having a thick layer and small seed, and it is vey delicious.

“There is no match for durian in Siak. We went so far from Pelalawan to Siak just to get this durian,” said Ridwan, a civilian from Pangkalan Kerinci.

Other than bronze durian, there are also heart-shaped durian, yellow durian, montong durian, and many other kinds. The durian trees that grow wildly in Mempura area are decades-years old. It becomes an attraction for fruit lovers in its own way.
