Dozens of housewives in Pangkalan Kerinci join quilting training

News24xx.com -  Industry and Commerce Department of Pelalawan Regency held quilting training for 2 days, starting from July 16th to July 17th. The training was opened by Pelalawan Regent, HM Harris, represented by Assistant Regent for Development Administration, Drs. H. Atmonadi, on Tuesday, July 16th.

Atmonadi said that this activity is part of the program to develop the small and medium industries to support the tourism industry in Pelalawan Regency. He thought that Pelalawan has many hidden potential that can be developed in order to help the tourism industry.

Head of Pelalawan Industry and Commerce Department, Fakhrizal said that this activity will help teach the housewives who want to learn patchwork and quilting, turning small leftover pieces of cloths into a product with high economic value. There are around 20 housewives in Pangkalan Kerinci that join this activity.
