5 Companies that Allegedly Burn the Land are Asked to be legally Processed by the Legislators

Riau DPRD deputy chairman Sunaryo hopes that law enforcement officials will immediately proceed with the legal process of five companies which allegedly burned land under the supervision of the Air Force Task Force some time ago. This is requested so that there are no public questions related to the findings.

To note the five companies, namely PT Jatim Jaya Perkasa Teluk Bano II, PT Wahana Sawit Subur Indah Siak, PT Priatama Rupat (Surya Dumai Group), PT Seraya Sumber Lestari Siak and PT Langgam Inti Hibrindo

"Please proceed with the law because those who know of the five companies are the authorities," Sunaryo said in Riau DPRD. Wednesday August 21 2019.

Sunaryo admitted that solving the forest and land fires in Riau was not easy and needed extra hard work. But in spite of this, the forest and land fire can be eliminated by prevention by mutual cooperation and shoulder to shoulder all elements.

"We appreciate the police, TNI and BPBD who have struggled to extinguish the fire on the burning ground. However, our concerted efforts are needed so that Karhutla does not happen again. And we also hope that rain can fall so that the haze and fire can be extinguished," he said.

Meanwhile, the head of the Riau DPRD commission IV Husni Thamrin expressed his appreciation for the visit of the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief and the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry yesterday who gave attention to the issue of forest and land fires (Karhutla) faced by the Riau community some time ago.

But he only hoped that the visit should not only be ceremonial but there must be evidence and real work because the official's budget to the regions is quite large.

Such concrete evidence is like immediately arresting the boss of PT Sumber Sawit Sejahtera (SSS) who has been named as a suspect in the Forestry and Land Fire.

"The boss of PT SSS is still at large and we ask to be immediately arrested and jailed. This we ask because the company is proven to damage this Malay country, and also harm the country," he said in the Riau DPRD. Wednesday August 14 2019.

For the Minister of Environment and Forestry, his party also requested that besides imprisoning the boss of the company, the company's permit was immediately revoked so that there would be a deterrent effect for other companies as well.

"It was not only ordinary people who were arrested and imprisoned because of forest fire, the boss of the forest burning company was also arrested," he explained.
