KUANSING- Lubuk Jambi Market, Kuantan Mudik District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province, is one of the oldest markets in Kuansing. Even the Lubuk Jambi market was established around '50 (1955), when it was still joined by the Regency of Indragiri Hulu (Inhu).

But later it was expanded again by occupying the former Kuantan Mudik Soccer Field, (In Front of SDN 01 Lubuk Jambi) which also still joined Inhu District.

In line with regional development (since Kuansing was founded 20 years ago), it is very clear that the condition of the Lubuk Jambi Market has become increasingly narrow, and it is even unable to accommodate the number of traders selling in the Market, which is added by the flow of traffic also often gets stuck when occurrence of market days (weeks).

Therefore, it is only proper that the Lubuk Jambi Market be built in stages, because as the Oldest Market, it is unable to accommodate the number of traders, and the traffic flow becomes congested.

Head of the Industry and Trade Cooperative Small and Medium Enterprises Cooperative Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency, Drs. Azhar Ali, MM who was contacted by Riau24.Com said that in relation to market development using DAK funds in 2020, there has not been any.

"This is because, there is a change in policy from the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia," he explained.

Where the proposal submitted by the region (including Kuansing), he said, is that the market must have obtained TP (Central Assistance) funds, while we from Kuansing have indeed proposed the Lubuk Jambi Market, "he explained.

However, the Lubuk Jambi Market has never received development from TP funds from the Ministry of Trade. "So that the Lubuk Market in Jambi, in 2020, doesn't get the Central DAK fund, for reasons it have never received development from the TP funds," he said.

When asked, What are the efforts that Department of trade and industry cooperatives Kuansing will make deal with these problems. Azhar explained, that the efforts made with the market were getting narrower, and the traffic jam had actually been carried out by the Kuantan Mudik Sub-District Head together with related agencies, including the Department of trade and industry cooperatives Office and the Transportation Office.

"The sub-district head has held a meeting with relevant agencies, to arrange traders as well as possible, and regulate the parking lot," he explained.

"If the results of the meeting's decision are obeyed by all traders and visitors, it is hoped that the market will be well ordered and the road will no longer be congested," he said. (R24 / Zar)
