News24xx.com - A US-born woman said she regretted joining ISIS. This is the second time she has asked to return to the US to leave the refugee camp where he lives with her young son in Syria because life is very difficult there.

The government refuses to let Hoda Muthana, 25, return to the US, arguing that she is not an American citizen.

In an interview with NBC News published Saturday, Muthana said he "regretted everything" done by ISIS. She joined in 2014 while living with her family in Alabama.

"Anyone who believes in God believes that everyone deserves a second chance, no matter how dangerous their sins are," Muthana said.

Muthana left her home in suburban Birmingham at the end of 2014 and reappeared in Syria where she used social media to advocate violence against the United States. She married three ISIS fighters, all of whom were killed in battle.

According to the Counter Extremism Project he actively took part in ISIS propaganda. She also urged jihadists in America to 'continue driving, and shed all their blood'.

Muthana said she was worried about her life because she could be targeted by people in the camp who had not left ISIS.

"I have not supported beheading from (IS) from day one, until now I have not supported their crimes and suicide attacks," Muthana said.

The US government has repatriated several American women associated with the group, along with their children, but not to Muthana.

Washington argued that she was not a US citizen even though she was born in the US because she was the daughter of a diplomat who served the Yemeni government at the time.

'I am a citizen and I have papers to prove it. "I am as American as a blue-eyed blonde and I want to stay in my country and do American things," Muthana told NBC.

President Donald Trump tweeted on February 20 that he would be refused entry to the U.S.

Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo called her a terrorist.

Whereas Muthana said she was willing to face the US justice system if she was allowed to return, because she wanted to provide a better life for her son.
