Ferocious! Austrian Soldier Tragically Attacked by Two Shepherd Dogs When Feeding the Dogs

News24xx.com - An Austrian soldier was killed in a ferocious attack by two Belgian shepherd dogs. When he was assigned to feed them.

The 31-year-old man has worked as a dog handler since 2017. He is tasked with caring for and feeding the dogs in the barracks in Wiener Neustadt near the capital city of Vienna.

An officer saw two Belgian Shepherd dogs roaming the barracks south of Vienna Thursday morning. Shortly thereafter the staff sergeant in charge of caring for the dog was found badly injured in a dog cage.

"Apparently the dogs attacked the soldier," the defense ministry said in a statement.

An investigation was launched on the attack.

A Defense Ministry spokesman said one of the dogs was a well-trained rescue dog, while the second, about six months old and was undergoing training.
