News24xx.com - A teenage elephant, named Kanakota, died on October 31 due to exhaustion after being forced to bring tourists under the scorching heat of Sri Lanka.

According to the India Times, the 18-year-old elephant carried a row in a row. The innocent animal fainted from exhaustion after the last trip and unfortunately, never woke up.

During the last four years of his brief and miserable life, Kanakota was forced to take tourists on an hour's journey to the ancient stone fortress along the busy road of Sigirya, Sri Lanka. How sad, the elephant had to walk with his feet shackled while carrying a heavy chair and hurt on his back.

The poor creature is under threat from weapons made of sharp hooks. Weapons like the spear were used to control the wild beast, if he disobeyed his human master.

Two months ago, the world also mourned the death of a 70-year-old elephant, Tikiri, who was forced to walk through a parade despite being old and weak.

Even more sad is that most of these elephants have unhealthy soles because they are chained and forced to walk on rough roads. Families or couples sitting on their backs in chairs cause damage to the elephant's spine.

The wildlife campaign manager, Katheryn Wise, said tourists should do their part in preventing these harassment practices.
