Flood Threat, Riau BPBD Prepares Personnel and Help Victims

News24xx.com -  The rain that flushed Riau since a few days ago, made a number of areas in Bumi Lancang Kuning hit by flooding.

One area that is quite severe is the two sub-districts in Rokan Hulu (Rohul) due to the overflow of the Rokan River.

The area in Rohul District that was affected by the flooding was quite severe, namely Desai Bonai Darussalam, Sontang District.

Concerned with the threat of flooding, the Head of Riau BPBD, Edwar Sanger said, his party remained on alert and provided assistance to the victims.

"We are on alert, as well as coordinating with BPBD Rohul and Kampar to anticipate and help flood victims," ??Edwar told Riau1.com, Wednesday 4 December 2019.

Edwar revealed, the Rokan River overflow due to high water discharge due to high rainfall in the West Sumatra region which is one flow with the Rokan River.

"Some flood points in Rohul have begun to recede. Some time ago, Deputy Governor Edy Natar also provided assistance to flood victims," ??he said.

"We also appeal to residents who live on the banks of the river to be vigilant and be careful to anticipate the occurrence of floods," he concluded.
