Dinsos P3AP2KB Meranti Holds FGD for the Acceleration of Children Eligible Districts

News24xx.com - As one of the efforts to accelerate the realization of a Child-Friendly District (KLA), the Meranti Islands Government through the Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (P3AP2KB) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to advocate for the acceleration of KLA in the Kepulauan Meranti District , which was held in the Hall of the Meranti Islands Regency Regent's Office, Monday (12/16/2019).

The activity, which was opened directly by the Meranti Islands Regional Secretary, Yulian Norwis, was also attended by Forkopinda elements, OPD Heads, Section Heads, sub-district heads, subdistrict heads in Tebing Tinggi sub-district, educators, banks, the Chair of the GOW Regency Meranti, PKK elements, the Mass Media and the Meranti Regency Children's Forum.

In his speech Secretary Meranti H. Yulian Norwis said in his speech that the KLA must be realized consistently. And of course it requires cooperation and contributions from all relevant OPDs in contributing according to their respective duties and functions.

"So every OPD must have clear planning and indicators so that they can contribute to the realization of the Eligible District of Children in the Meranti Islands. Through this forum I hope that the implementation of fulfilling children's rights can be better than before," he said.

In line with Yulian, the Head of P3AP2KB Social Affairs Agency, Agusyanto Bakar, said that to realize the KLA, it needed commitment with various parties, especially the participation of the family, because the family was very important in shaping the characteristics of children.

Agus said, indeed before, namely in 2018, Meranti Regency had received the KLA award at the Primary level. This is what then becomes a stimulus that encourages to be able to reach the level above it, which is Madya.

"But of course that is not easy, because it has to meet several indicators that will be objectively assessed by the ministry. Therefore, it takes commitment from various parties, institutions, institutions and DPOs through integrated concepts and concrete actions. This is the point of this FGD we make to discuss and find a formula for the future to support this KLA. " he said.
