The 11th Meranti Anniversary, This Is What The Regent Expects

News24xx.com - The Plenary Meeting to commemorate the 11th Anniversary of Meranti Regency in 2019, took place at the Meranti Regional Parliament Building, Monday (12/19/2019).

The Plenary Meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the DPRD Meranti DPRD Chairman Jack Ardiansyah and was attended by the Deputy Regent of Meranti, Said Hasyim and a number of other invited guests.

Regent of Meranti Islands Drs. H. Irwan M.Si expressed his gratitude to all parties who had given the best service, time and thoughts to the region, especially the figures who had many good services who were present at the plenary meeting.

He said, 11 years of age Meranti has many achievements obstacles and challenges that have been passed in order to lay the foundation of regional development to catch up.

"This is not an easy thing. Geographical conditions, socioeconomic situation with high poverty rates is a formidable challenge," said Irwan.

He also said that various efforts had been made by the Regional Government to finalize development, improve the community's economy and alleviate poverty.

Until finally the youngest regency in Riau was recorded successfully suppressing the poverty rate by 16 percent, from 43 percent at the beginning of the division to 27 percent in 2019 or if calculated with a population of at least the Regional Government succeeded in freeing 48 thousand souls from poverty.

In the future in an effort to reduce poverty and improve community welfare, Meranti Regency Government will make a breakthrough through the utilization of the village's considerable financial potential.

Later, added Irwan, the Village program will be synchronized with the needs of the local community, and the community will automatically be directly involved in the development process.

"The times have changed, no longer building for the community but the community playing an active role in developing the area, so that the people are no longer objects but the subject of development," explained Irwan again.

Not to forget, he also invited all levels of society to jointly realize the ideals of society towards a prosperous Meranti.

"Let us unite the hearts and minds in realizing the ideals of society towards a prosperous Meranti in the civil society order," he said.
