Without using special equipment, the people of Selatpanjang look very enthusiastic about seeing and witnessing this GMC.

When the eclipse began to occur with joy from the faces of those who watched, they continued to look to the sky, waiting for the ring eclipse to occur perfectly while capturing with a Smartphone camera as if it did not want to lose this moment.

In Selatpanjang itself GMC occurred at 12:17 WIB ended at 12:21 WIB and became the longest ring duration of almost 3 minutes 38.9 seconds.

Many unique ways for residents to see this rare phenomenon there are looking at using glasses, helmet bowls, using water in a bucket and even with the naked eye.

Some residents said they were very enthusiastic about welcoming the eclipse. For Muslims, a solar eclipse is considered as an opportunity to get more reward for worship. As revealed by Ahmad, a resident of Selatpanjang City.

"Thank God, I could carry out Kusuf prayers," he said.

According to Ahmad, the appearance of solar eclipses is fairly rare, so it should be put to good use. In Islamic teachings, in addition to the solar eclipse prayer or kusuf, it is also advisable to do a lot of forgiveness, alms, and doing good.

Meanwhile, Ali Imran, a resident of Gang Kelinci, Jalan Muzafar, claimed he did not want to miss the moment and keep trying even though the eclipse ring he hoped was not apparent.

"We don't want to miss this moment, so we try to capture it even though with a cellphone camera," Ali said.
