After Over a Year of Novel Baswedan's Case Becomes Mystery, Police Finally Arrested the Perpetrators; the Perpetrators Actually Are a Police

News24xx.com - The National Police ensured that the investigation of the alleged perpetrators of the Baswedan Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators would be carried out professionally. Investigators cannot be intervened in carrying out their duties.

The two suspects were charged under article 170 of the Criminal Code subsidiary 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code. The article stipulates that the beating crime is openly threatened with imprisonment for a maximum of 5 years and 6 months.

It is known, the Baswedan novel was splashed with hard water by two motorcyclists on April 11, 2017 after dawn prayers at the Al-Ihsan Mosque near his home, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. Novel's eyes were damaged and had to undergo treatment in Singapore since April 12, 2017.

After more than a year the case became a mystery, the police finally arrested two perpetrators in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java, on Thursday (26 December 2019) night. RM and RB are then taken to the Metro Jaya Regional Police for inspection.

Not unexpectedly, Police Kabareskrim Komjen Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the two perpetrators were active police officers. When he was transferred from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police to the Criminal Investigation Police Unit on Saturday last week, RB shouted when he was being taken to the car.

"Please note. I do not like Novels because he is a traitor," he said, Friday (27 December 2019). Argo said that investigators continued to explore the suspects' confessions. Regarding the motive, it cannot be concluded yet.
