SIAK - Launching a rice ATM machine is an effort by the Siak Regency Government to make people aware of the importance of the dawn prayer in congregation in the mosque and to provide staples in the form of rice for underprivileged residents.

This was said by the Regent of Siak, Alfedri when launching the Rice ATM at Nurul Hikmah Mosque, Sungai Mandau District, Friday (01/17/2020).

The launching of the Rice ATM this time is the last Rice ATM Launching after 13 Rice ATMs were inaugurated in 13 Districts in Siak Regency.

This Rice ATM is a Siak District Baznas program, the aim of which is to educate people so that they always perform the morning prayer in congregation. "Alhamdulillah, since the morning prayer movement touched and the launching of the rice ATM was carried out, our mosques in Siak Regency have started to get busy," he said.

Alfedri hopes that people who do dawn prayers in the mosque not only expect gifts, but make this Rice ATM program a motivation so that we want to carry out the dawn prayers in congregation in the mosque. "The capacity of the Rice ATM machine is withdrawn for 50 people, if 50 people come to the mosque, the mosque can be full," he said.

Furthermore, Alfedri said the launching of Rice ATM is in order to meet the needs of rice for the mustahik in the Mandau River. Since the launch of the rice ATM program, it is expected to reduce poverty in Siak. "We hope that the muzaki who have excess assets issue their zakat in Siak Regency, and donate rice to help disadvantaged citizens meet their food needs," he hoped. (R24 / Lin)
