12 RAPP Partner Development Schools Passed Adiwiyata on Regency Level

PELALAWAN - A total of 12 target schools of PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) won the Regency-level Adiwiyata award from the Government on Monday (01/20) at Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.

Head of Pelalawan Regency Environmental Agency, Eko Novitra said the Adiwiyata award is given to schools that are committed and care for the environment.

"The Adiwiyata program aims to create better school conditions while at the same time becoming a learning and awareness program for school residents of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness in schools, in their surroundings and in the regions," Eko explained.

Meanwhile, School Principal 003 Lubuk Kembang Bunga Ukui District, Ajib said the Adiwiyata award was the first for the school he is leading in.

"I aspire to progress to a higher level, namely the Provincial and National Adiwiyata and we are optimistic to be able to achieve it," he said eagerly.

CD RAPP Manager, Binahidra Logiardi said that the award given showed the hard work of the School and was supported by the RAPP CD team.

"Not only collaboration between schools and the RAPP CD team, but also the support of the District Environmental Agency, to achieve maximum results on environmental-based activities," said Beni. (Release)
