Regent Planted the Trees, Handed over Bags and Door Prizes at the Commemoration of National Waste Day in Kuansing

KUANSING - Commemorating National Waste Day at Kuantan Singingi District Level, Riau Province, which was held today Wednesday (11/3) centered in the Teluk Kuantan Modern Market Arena.

Kuantan Singingi Regency Government is implementing Mutual Cooperation, Planting Tree Seedlings, and Cleaning up environmental waste together with the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

According to Plt. Head of the Kuantan Singingi Regency Environmental Service (DLH), Drs. Rustam Mahmud told Riau24.Com said that in commemorating the National Waste Day at Kuantan Singingi Regency, it was carried out simply with various activities.

The activities include the movement to lift garbage and clear the drainage from sedimentation. Planting trees and handing over reusable bags instead of plastic bags. As well as handing over BPJS compensation to door prizes.

"So on that occasion, the Regent also handed over a re-use bag for women, as a substitute for plastic bags," he explained.

"As for the Tree Planting which is centered around the modern market of Teluk Kuantan, it is only done by inserting or replacing some trees that are already dead or are judged to be still rare," he said.

Gotong Royong in commemorating this Waste Day, was also attended by the Kuansing District Attorney's Office, Deputy Police, Pabung Inhu - Kuansing, Regional Secretary, Head of OPD, Section and Devition Heads, as well as Kasubbag and Kasubbid as well as students who reached hundreds of people.
