(Concerned about Corona's Impact, LAMR Distributed Food Packages to Orphanages

Riau Malay Customary Institution (LAMR) as a form of concern for the people affected by the outbreak of the Corona virus pandemic outbreak (Covid-19), distributed aid in the form of 200 packages of nine staple foods to a number of orphanages and poor people in Pekanbaru, on Monday 30 March 2020.

The outbreak of Corona outbreaks (Covid-19) in the world today, including in Bumi Lancang Kuning Riau Province, has significantly impacted people's income.

"For this reason, the LAMR took concrete action by distributing food aid to several orphanages and the poor who deserved it," said LAMR Chairperson of the Daily Leadership Council (DPH) Datuk Seri Syahril Abubakar.

Datuk Seri Syahril appealed to companies in Riau Province and government agencies such as the Riau Provincial Government to also participate in helping communities in need of help as a result of the Corona virus pandemic.

"There needs to be availability of food stocks for vulnerable patients, such as seniors, pregnant women and children. Likewise for informal sector workers, the poor, the poor, the poor, orphanages also need assistance that may be in the form of cash, groceries or other assistance, "said Datuk Seri Syahril. (rls)
