ODP in Riau Soars Drastically, Syamsuar Said This Became the Cause

Until now, there have been at least 14 thousand Riau residents with the status of People in Monitoring (ODP).

Related to this, Riau Governor Syamsuar said, the increase in the number of ODP in Riau was due to the arrival of Indonesian worker (TKI) from Malaysia.

"In addition, Riau residents who came from Jakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Yogyakarta and several regions in Indonesia have many positive patients with Covid-19," Syamsuar said, on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

He also appealed to the public, especially in Riau to comply with the government's call for efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

"Our community is still interested in staying at home and implementing social distancing and physical distancing in order to break the chain of the spread of the corona virus," Syamsuar continued.

As is known, as of March 31, 2020, there were 14,989 ODPs recorded in Riau, with details of 14,879 people in the monitoring process and 110 completed monitoring.
