Based on information summarized by iNews.id, the identity of the victim is known as Sopianti Boru Sianturi. He was the victim of a robbery when he crossed Jalan Yos Sudarso, Gang Bagan, Kelurahan Glugur Kota, Medan Barat District, Medan City.

The police who received the report immediately investigated the case and arrested the perpetrator namely Pandu Alfaris (26). To his surprise, the perpetrator was the victim's neighbor. Both are residents of Jalan Umar, East Medan District.

"The suspect has been arrested at the hiding location. Both of his legs were shot for fighting when ambushed," said West Medan Police Chief Commissioner Afdhal Junaidi, Thursday (2 April 2020).

Afdhal explained, the robbery occurred on Saturday (28 March 2020). The action of the perpetrator was classified as sadistic because they did not hesitate to hurt the victims.

Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrator had trailed the victim while leaving the house. He took advantage of the quiet street situation because of the government's appeal not to leave the house during the coronavirus outbreak.

When he arrived at the scene, the perpetrator ambushed the victim and strangled him. Do not stop there, he also stabbed the victim with scissors.

As a result of persecution, the victim collapsed. The incident was known to the victim's brother who immediately took him to the hospital.

"The suspect robbed the victim's cellphone and gold earrings," he said.

From the examination, the suspect is a recidivist of theft who has been sent back and forth three times to prison.

"The evidence that was secured was a cellphone, a scissor, and clothes that the suspect obtained from selling gold," said the police chief.

As a result of his action, the suspect is now in prison again. He was charged with Article 365 Kuhp with a sentence of up to 5 years in prison.
