The Presidential Envoy of Russia Announced About the Constitution Voting

News24xx.com -  Nikolai Tsukanov said that voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation could take place in the summer of 2020.

According to him, this will happen in a favorable situation with coronavirus in the country, Interfax-Ural reports. 

He noted that the timing has not yet been determined. Some information from the presidential administration is needed to identify them.

“If today we see a decrease in the incidence of severe patients, probably these dates will be fixed. Perhaps even in the summer yet. But now it’s hard to talk about more specific dates,” Tsukanov said.

Secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia, said that the CEC does not consider remote voting as a substitute for in-person voting, but as an additional opportunity for those who cannot attend the vote personally.
