Horrified! Corona Virus Continues to Mutate, Experts Call Corona More Contagious

News24xx.com - A global study found strong evidence that the Coronavirus continues to mutate where the newest type of virus is more easily transmitted and infects humans.

The study, published in the Cell Journal on Thursday (02 July 2020), writes that mutations have affected the spike-structure protein used to infect Coronaviruses.

According to CNN, Friday (3 July 2020), mutations in the protein spike are said to make the scientifically named virus Sars-CoV-2 more easily transmitted.

The mutation, called the G614, is called a scientist that has replaced the first version to be spread in Europe and the US, called D614.

Although mutation makes the Coronavirus more infectious, the study reports a little good news that this new version of Sars-CoV-2 is no more dangerous than before.

Lawrence Young, a professor of medical oncology at Warwick University in England, who was not involved in the study, welcomed the findings.
