The location of the landslide that occurred in Trench 7 and Trench 5 in Tembilahan Hulu

News24xx.com - Regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency HM Wardan conducted a direct observation at two landslide disaster sites that occurred in Trench 7 and Trench 5 of Tembilahan Hulu, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

In his review, HM Wardan was accompanied by Hj Zulaikhah Wardan, Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency, Head of Public Works Office and several Echelon Officials within the Regency Government and other related parties.

"Today I went straight down to observe landslides that occurred recently, including in Trench 7 and Trench 5 in Tembilahan Hulu," HM Wardan said.

Initial action on this event will be carried out by hoarding in coordination with the Riau Provincial Government to ask for help.

"Hopefully our request for assistance will be accepted so that we will immediately make improvements to locations prone to landslides," he explained.

During his visit, the Inhil Regent also appealed to all communities and business people who are located along the Indragiri River to reduce the burdens and activities, especially landslide-prone locations.

"Always be vigilant, don't let the same calamities occur," he added.

To note, that the lonsor land disaster in the trench 7 of Tembilahan Hulu District took place on Saturday, 1 August 2020 at 09.30 WIB which caused 2 warehouses to be severely damaged.

While the second landslide accident in ditch 5 Tembilahan Hulu District which occurred on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:45 AM which caused 1 Asian LPG warehouse warehouse and 1 Car Unit and 2 Honda Units to fall into the river.
