Riau contributes the most hotspot in Sumatra island

News24xx.com -  Friday, September 28th 2018, Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) records many hotspots in Sumatra. The most hotspots are in Riau Province.

As stated by the Head of Information Section of BMKG Stasiun Pekanbaru, Marzuki. "Sumatra Hotspot with a confidence level above 50 percent as many as 76 points. The most spread in Riau is 32 points, Jambi 3 points, Babel 18 points, South Sumatra 15 points, Lampung 8 points" he said.

Riau Hospot at most in Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) 28 points. Then Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) 2 points and Pelalawan 2 points.

The weather during the day is quite hot and can reach 34.5 degrees Celsius.

During the day the potential for mild rain is locally occurring in parts of Rohil, Rohul, and Dumai City.

"While the weather on the night is cloudy" said Marzuki.
