There are billions of people in the world, why is the US just afraid of Putin?

There are 7.2 billion people in this world, but the United States is only afraid of one person - Vladimir Putin. In almost all aspects of the new Cold War, the Russian President was able to defeat the West. Forbes magazine again named Putin as the strongest person on the planet for the second time in the past two years.

In Syria, Crimea and Ukraine, the West succumbed to Putin's approach and suffered an embarrassing setback. With regard to energy, Russian pipelines - not Western ones - will dominate the Eurasian region.

But instead of counting scores, we try to understand how Putin managed to keep Russia's position superior.

Putin knows the DNA of his enemy

Armed with his experience at the KGB, the Russian President understands the way the United States works. The American modus operandi was to organize coups, rebellions and counter-revolutions in countries where nationalist leaders came to power. Iran, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama and Ukraine are some classic examples.

Putin knows the US has tried a similar approach in Russia. As a former KGB general in East Germany, he knew the assassins were always stalking him.

The war in Ukraine is clearly a pretext to attract Russia to enter a direct military confrontation with the Ukrainian armed forces, to create regional war in Europe.

Russia's response is branching out. First, Russia refused to shoot at Ukrainian thugs and frustrated America. Washington can only remain silent about Ukraine, and it is brilliantly called a Chinese general as a symptom of the American strategy "erectile dysfunction".

Secondly, Putin used asymmetric strategies to stop - and finally undermine - American power. The main goal is to pound the heart of American power - the dollar. Russia - with the support of BRICS - is starting to move from dollar trading, a move that will have a major impact on the almost non-growing American economy.
