RI and Russia Form Working Groups Discuss the Sukhoi Purchasing Mechanism

News24xx.com -  Work agreements between Russia and Indonesia in the purchase of sukhoi aircraft will be discussed in a working group. 

Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) Oke Nurwan said the working group would discuss the mechanism of buying Sukhoi aircraft by Indonesia and a number of commodities by Russia. 

"The Ministry of Trade and the Russian government will carry out in-depth discussions through the working group. All will be discussed in more detail," Oke said at the Ministry of Trade's office, Jakarta, Saturday, October 13 2018. 

It is known, Indonesia bought 11 Sukhoi Su-35 aircraft from Russia for 1.14 billion US dollars. Meanwhile, Indonesia offered a number of commodities to Russia valued at US $ 570 million. Okay confirms that the transaction is made in return, not barter. 

Then, in the working group will be discussed what commodities are offered until the reward mechanism is what they buy. Indonesia compiles commodities to be offered, while Russia also prepares a list of commodities that they are interested in. 

"If they are interested, but it's not ready to be exported here, it's the same. So it will be discussed," said Oke. 

Okay targeting the working group will be active as soon as possible. At this time the stages are still drafting the rules for the group, including their members and duties. 
Okay hope the discussion in the working group is not protracted so that the two parties mutually agree on the commodity in return. 

At the moment there is only a temporary agreement on the commodity. 

"There are a lot of Indonesian Russian trade. But there are also those who go through this working group. That is what will be discussed in the framework of the purchase," said Oke.
