News24xx.com -  US President Donald Trump said that there would be more officials in his cabinet who would soon resign. Trump's statement was conveyed in a television interview broadcast on Sunday (10/14/2018).

Trump said that Defense Minister Jim Mattis "might" be resigned soon. When asked why Mattis was backing, Trump only answered if he was "too Democratic". "It could be him.

I think he's a bit of a Democrat, if you want to know the truth, "Trump said, according to a quote released by CBS. Despite saying this, Trump insisted that his relationship with Mattis was fine.

"General Mattis is a good person. We are good friends. But he will probably leave. I mean, at one point, in the end everyone will leave," Trump told AFP. Trump also confirmed that Mattis had never told him that he planned to leave his cabinet.
The 72-year-old president said he last met Mattis at a lunch meeting a few days earlier and there was no talk about it.

Trump's statement regarding Mattis came out after he was asked for an opinion on the latest changes in his cabinet ranks, where previously Nikki Haley declared his resignation as US ambassador to the United Nations.

"I am changing things around, and I am entitled to that. I now have people who are on standby and that will be amazing. They will join the government, they will be extraordinary," Trump said.

Trump admits that he has several people he doesn't like being with him.

"I think we have a great cabinet. There are a number of people I am not happy with. I have several people I don't like. And I have other people I really like," he said.

Jim Mattis, has been seen as one of the most stable officials in the Trump cabinet, but also more independent. He had worked as a humble counterweight to the president who was known to be often rude to his allies.
