President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani said that US wants to change the regime in Iran

News24xx.com - The United States (US) government is mentioned as the most hostile country facing the Islamic Republic in the past four decades.

This is openly spoken by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The Iranian President mentioned that US wanted to change the Iranian regime. "In the past 40 years, there has not been more evil than the current US Government against Iran, and the Republic of Iran" Rouhani said on a local television broadcast as reported by Reuters on Sunday, October 14th 2018.

Hostility intensified as US President Donald Trump resigned from a multilateral agreement on Iran's nuclear program in May. "There are times when there is one person who has hostility. The rest is moderate. Now, the worst is gathering with each other" Hassam Rouhami said.

The Iranian president also accused United States of using psychological and economic warfare and questioned the legitimacy of Islamic Republic of Iran. According to him, reducing the legitimacy of the system is their final goal.

"When they say get rid of, regime change in their own words, how will the regime change? By reducing legitimacy, otherwise the regime will not change" the Iranian president said.

Another issue that seen was when US reintroduced steps that hit Iran's currency, metal and automotive sector trade in August.

With the US suspension of Iranian oil exports coming into effect next month, some Iranian officials fear their country will experience an economic downturn. The slump was said to be worse than the period 2012-2015, when it was last faced with large sanctions.

Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said Iran could find new partners to buy oil even though some countries had stopped buying. "America will certainly not be able to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero" he said as quoted by IRIB from Republika.co.id.
