News24xx.com - Prince's family asked the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump to stop using music belonging to the late musician in every campaign he did. A statement from Prince’s family adds to the long list of musicians who reject their work used by Trump.

"Prince's family never gave President Trump or White House permission to use Prince's songs and we asked them not to use them" Prince's half-brother Omarr Baker wrote in his message on Twitter, as quoted by AFP on Saturday, October 13th 2018.

Until after the statement was published, there was no official response from Trump to AFP. Trump's campaign team is known to use Prince's song entitled Purple Rain, which is the favorite song for fans of the late flamboyant style musician.

The last time the song is used in Trump's campaign in Mississippi last week. Before Prince, musicians who had protested similar things were Rolling Stones, Adele, Neil Young, R.M., Aerosmith, Queen, George Harrison, and Luciano Pavarotti.
