Fired by Marvel, James Gunn will direct the DC movie, Suicide Squad 2

Director David Ayer will not return to work on 'Suicide Squad 2'. He prefers to work on the story of three fantastic women in 'Gotham City Sirens'. Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto have reportedly returned as Deadshot, Harley Quinn and Joker. Meanwhile Joel Kinnaman said that he hoped to return to playing Rick Flag's agent.

However, if Gunn really will direct the sequel then 'Suicide Squad 2' will bring new colors and the possibility of each character being planned again. Dave Bautista, the actor of Drax in 'Guardian of the Galaxy' himself vocally supported Gunn regarding his decision to join DC.
