Man arrested after vandalizing David Bowie statue in Buckinghamshire, England

News24xx.com - David Bowie's 'Ziggy Stardust' statue in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, was damaged by a 29-year-old man. He was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime to damage the statue.

The incident came after 48 hours the statue was unveiled. The statue was funded through a grant of GBP 100,000 worth of funds led by music promoter David Stopps. He said the act of vandalism by painting a statue in blue was considered 'very annoying'.

"David Bowie's fans came from all over the world to see the statue. This is unfair for thousands of residents who support this project" he said from the Guardian, Thursday, October 18th 2018.

The statue on the stage where it debuted in January 1972. The human-sized bronze statue shows David Bowie's charm in his prime age. "The statue will soon be repaired and returned to the public" said Stopps.
