Apple apologizes to its users due to their Apple ID accounts was being hacked in China

News24xx.com - Apple apologizes for the number of Apple ID accounts that were hacked in China - and then used to steal money in Alipay. As previously reported, Ant Financial (the company that owns Alipay) and Tencent Holdings warned of the existence of Chinese cyber hackers.

Alipay and Tencent did not mention how much money hackers had stolen, but they have contacted Apple to work together to uncover this problem in more detail. In the process, Apple Inc. now giving an official statement about this matter. Apple said it has found a small number of user accounts affected by this.

On its official statement quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Apple also said, "apologize profusely for the inconvenience to its customers in this case". Details about the incident are not known for sure, but Apple stated that the account affected in this case was apparently not using two-factor authentication (TFA).
