News24xx.com -  These three weapons successfully deterred the enemy. Fortunately, they have never been used in warfare.

The Tsar's cannon, one of Russia's main symbols and the Kremlin's "guard" and Russian leader since centuries ago, is the largest mortar ever created in the world.

The cannon was made from bronze by the cannon and bell maker Andrei Chokhov in 1586 in the era of Ivan's Terrible third son's reign. With a length of 5.34 meters, this 120 cm caliber can weighs nearly 40 metric tons. In early 2017, US President Donald Trump ordered the drop of GBU-43, the strongest non-nuclear bomb ever created in the world, against ISIS terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

The bomb was dubbed as 'Mother of All Bombs' (MOAB). However, Russia also has similar weapons that can play the role of 'father', namely Aviatsionnaya Vakuumnaya Bomba Povyshennoy Moshchnosti (Air Thermobaric Bomb with Enhanced Power) or 'Father of All Bombs' (FOAB).

In terms of its destructive power, Russian FOAB is comparable to a nuclear warhead. However, thanks to its volumetric explosion, FOAB doesn't leave radioactive clouds like a nuclear bomb.

In 1913, Russian aeronautical engineer Igor Sikorsky created the S-21 RusskyVityaz (Russian Knight).

This is the first plane to be included in the list of the world's largest planes to be created in Russia.

The main feature of this aircraft is its four engines which are positioned lined up along the wings. At that time, this kind of design was considered impossible to implement.
