News24xx.com - When traveling abroad, usually we will be welcomed by immigration officers to be asked about a number of things such as the purpose and duration of our visit. Well, in a number of European countries, these officers will be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) machines.

Countries that will implement the AI-based immigration system are Hungary, Latvia and Greece. In these countries, the immigration agency plans to implement a system called iBorderCtrl. This iBorderCtrl is basically an AI-based lie detector, which can detect lies from tourist who will come to their country, as quoted from Ubergizmo, Thursday, November 1st 2018.

This system will ask a number of things to tourists such as what items are in the suitcase, and a number of other questions. From that answer, they will analyze facial expressions, especially the micro expressions that appear.

The questions raised will also vary based on a number of things, such as gender, ethnicity, and words spoken. If the score obtained is sufficient, they will be given a QR code to be able to pass the checkpoint. However, if the score obtained is insufficient, they will be interviewed by a human officer, who will also analyze the report from the iBorderCtrl system.
