Mitsubishi with the type of city car starts to be abandoned on its sale

One of the models affected is the Mitsubishi Mirage. For example, in the wholesales distribution data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), in the last three months, this type has never been sold.

 

Mitsubishi looks more focused on the sale of its newest MPV, Mitsubishi Xpander, and also its flagship SUV, Pajero.

 

The Head of Sales and Marketing at PT MMKSI, Imam Choeru Cahya in Bekasi, which was reported from detik.com, on Saturday, November 10th 2018, said, "In the Gaikindo data, the city car segment experiencing a plummet, which make it does not feel so bad is that Suzuki Ignis from another brand also dropped"

 

"In general, the city car segment A is down and we are also considering studying there is a slight price gap with Xpander, definitely considering that" said Imam.

 

From the data on the official website of Mitsubishi, in November 2018, the price of the cheapest Mirage and Xpander variants is only around IDR 20 million. Mirage is priced at IDR 173 million while the lowest type Xpander is sold at IDR 197.1 million.

 

Prices that are not too far away make people start switching. Moreover, Xpander can load more passengers and goods than Mirage with its tiny size.
