Study says many men enlarge their penis because of self image encouragement

News24xx.com -  Cosmetic surgery is often regarded as something that women often do, but in modern times surgeons have begun to see an increase in male patients. 

What do men look for with cosmetic surgery? 

According to studies some want to increase the size of his penis.

"I was surprised to see the diversity. In our sample, the youngest men were 23 years old and 69 years old. They came from various professional backgrounds," said psychologist involved in the study, Dr. Gemma Sharp, from Monash University.

The survey of 25 men who underwent penis enlargement surgery found that almost all people had normal sex sizes. The reason these men want surgery is because they want to improve their image.

"This dressing room syndrome whether they want to make other men impressed or want to feel confident in front of other men. But there are also those who want to satisfy their partners," another researcher Jayson Oates was quoted as saying by ABC Australia on Wednesday (10/31/2018) .

Two of the 25 men who underwent penis enlargement surgery were known to have body dysmorphic disorder. People with body dysmorphic disorder are mentally disturbed so that having a strong obsession considers their body to have a disability.

"I think penis size might really get into the confidence of men, no matter what life they live in," concluded Gemma who published her study in the journal Aesthetic Surgery.
