News24xx.com - The French government took a new step in combating the spread of HIV / AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Condom purchase subsidies will be enjoyed by French citizens. The French government chose condoms with the Eden brand produced by Majorelle's laboratory. The condoms will only be sold at pharmacies at lower prices.

Reported by AFP,  this new policy was approved by the French Ministry of Health. France is one of the few European countries to impose similar policies. In a statement, Majorelle praised the move as a French way of sending a strong message that condoms were not sex toys, but an indispensable tool for preventing sexually transmitted diseases.

The policy was put in place to remind the younger generation who were increasingly ignorant about using condoms when dealing with ex.

A study states that 75 percent of young people will use condoms if the cost of purchasing condoms is covered by the state.

The French government will cover 60 percent of the cost of condoms. They also hope that health insurance providers can help cover the rest. Previously, a study released by the French Ministry of Health showed cases of chlamydia and gonococci, as the two most common forms of sexually transmitted diseases, tripled between 2012 and 2016.

Some cases even attacked adolescents aged 15-24 years.

Majorelle said that the study proved that a person is increasingly free to have sex with many partners. Coupled with fears of unsystematic condom use.

While 6,000 new cases of HIV infection were diagnosed in 2016. This figure has fallen by 5 percent since 2013. It is recorded that there are more than 172 thousand French citizens living with the HIV virus.
